Welcome to the Sands Point Civic Association web site. This web site contains information about the Village of Sands Point located on Long Island, New York. The Sands Point Civic Association is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1971. The association is concerned primarily with maintaining open and effective lines of communication with all residents on matters of interest to them and the village. The purpose of this web site is to provide Sands Point residents with up-to-date and useful information related to the village. Feedback is always appreciated. Sands Point Civic Association meetings are usually the second Thursday of the month. Unless otherwise noted, all meetings are at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. Meetings are open to the public and resident. Meeting dates and times are subject to change. Please call the Village Hall to confirm.
Sands Point Village Centential House Tour Saturday, May 22, 2010 8:45am to 2:00pm $30 per person includes these historic homes: The Cornwall House The Homestead (Sands/Hewlett/Tibbits House) Hazeldean Manor (Laidlaw) Falaise (Harry Guggenheim Home) Mille Fleur (Florence Guggenheim) All transportation to the houses will be via car pools with a driver and 3 passengers. Volunteer drivers are needed and will be given detailed directions for driving the Tour Loop. Drivers are invited to emjoy a gratis luncheon at The Village Club. Assembly is promply at 8:45at at Castle Gould in the Sands Point Preserve. Your tour fee includes admission to the Preserve and Falaise.
